Movement
“We see in order to move; we move in order to see” – William Gibson
We find so much of our understanding of the body and movement comes down to deep listening and observation from both coach and practitioner. Tina will support you in a deep discovery of how your body is currently presenting and guide you in building a new relationship that can see through deep seated patterns of movement and holding.
“The most efficient way to create a change in moving, skill development or attitude is through the body-mind. Changing perception of the body by tuning into the way the body wants to organise itself in breathing, stabilising, feeling, moving and attending enhances all aspects of functioning. Therefore the on-going adaptation required for people to remain injury free, and to maintain freedom of movement is to; integrate sensory information to transform perceptual awareness.” – Mark McGrath
If you are ready and willing to do the work and invest in your relationship with your body-mind, the coaching process will help you realise your full potential and allow your body to work efficiently with ease. Tina’s sessions integrate:
- Human movement / Biomechanical experience
- Traditional physical conditioning
- DNS
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Relaxation
- Breathing techniques
Your sessions are truly varied depending on you. We will always bring the focus back to the intrinsic stabilising system, proprioceptive deep structures of the body which are aligned horizontally to the vertical of upright. We look at even the simplest tasks, such as re-learning how to breathe, sit, stand and walk well maintaining length in the spine – where posture and alignment is altogether too often heavily misunderstood and poorly executed, causing long-term pain and reoccurring injuries to your body.
