Small group sessions are the perfect way to enjoy the experience of yoga with your partner, friends, colleagues and family. Hatha Yoga

With ‘Ha’ meaning sun and ‘Tha’ meaning moon, Hatha yoga is commonly translated to the yoga practise that brings a union to the pairing of opposites. Hatha is not a strict method of yoga as much as an ancient system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing), mudras (energetics), chakras (energy centers), and nadi (sound) and kundalini, which helps bring forward a sense of balance and peace to your mind and body, preparing you for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.


‘Jiva’ meaning individual soul and ‘Mukti’ meaning liberated, Jivamukti is a path to enlightenment through compassion towards all beings. It is a physical, ethical and spiritual practice. Combining a vigorous hatha yoga, vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: scripture, devotion, non-harming, music, and meditation, this practice is all encompassing. Along with Iyengar, the Jivamukti method of yoga is one of the nine internationally recognised styles of Hatha yoga.


Named after and developed by B. K. S. Iyengar, is a form of Hatha yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of yoga postures (asanas). The style often makes use of props, such as belts, blocks, and blankets, as aids in performing the asanas. The props enable all students (beginners, advanced, the elderly, or those with physical limitations) to perform the asanas correctly, minimising the risk of injury or strain.


In Yin, we mindfully move from posture to posture very slowly with long, steady and core-felt holds. This class is focused on winding down and releasing any tension being held in your body or mind. You will find a way to develop and manage your breath, become body aware and increase your overall stability and flexibility.

From beginners to advanced, Bettina enjoys teaching classes based in Hatha yoga. All her classes come from a deeper understanding and exploration of yoga philosophies and self understanding. Bettina has an innate ability to create an environment that invites you to delve deep and rediscover your self every time you meet on the mat. Her background in human movement lends perfectly to her yoga sessions as she seamlessly tailors each class to your body’s needs. Her presence is both calming and empowering, her touch is healing and compassionate.

She recognises how to smoothy transition from posture to posture and just when to turn up the heat, how to break down asanas into steps making them accessible to all levels. Her classes are all encompassing; physical, spiritual and educational. Each class is designed to take you on a journey of self discovery. Moving with breath; cultivating a meditative state through movements designed to energise the body and improve vitality, health and your quality of life.
